Fresh details have surfaced regarding Brad Pitt’s ongoing drama with his daughter, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.

According to recent reports, Pitt allegedly objected to Shiloh testifying about her custody arrangement preferences back in 2021. Shiloh, now 18, wanted to testify during a hearing when she was just 14, not yet an adult by legal standards.

Despite Shiloh’s wishes, the judge sided with Pitt and granted him joint custody. However, a court later supported Jolie’s appeal to remove the judge due to undisclosed business relationships with Pitt’s lawyers.

An insider revealed that this period marked a shift in Pitt’s relationship with Shiloh. “She [used to be] very close with Brad and his family, but that relationship [changed] in recent years,” the source said.

The impact of this shift became evident last month when Shiloh filed paperwork to legally change her name on her 18th birthday, dropping her father’s surname in favor of her mother’s maiden name.

Pitt was reportedly “devastated” by Shiloh’s decision to remove his name, seeing it as a symbol of a deeper estrangement that had been developing for years, according to an insider.

Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15, reportedly don’t “have much of a relationship” with their dad, though Pitt is “not ready to give up on them.”

Page Six reported that the 60-year-old Fight Club star hopes to “forge” a bond with his kids as they “get older and have a life of their own.”

A source close to the Emmy winner alleged that Jolie, 49, has used their children “as a weapon against Brad” and “separated” them from him during their contentious legal battle.

The former couple separated in 2016 and were declared legally single three years later, but have continued to clash over custody and their French winery.

While the exes rarely speak directly about their divorce, Jolie told Vogue in September 2023 that she and her children are still “healing.”
