The Euro 2024 has reached the semi-finals. We had a chance to watch some exciting games in previous rounds, while the results were nothing less exciting.
There were two tough clashes, between Spain and Germany, and Portugal against France.
The odds for Spain and Germany were nearly the same, and the result is proof of that as well, as Spain made a victory after penalties.
The France got through the quarter-finals the same way. Joao Felix was the player who wasnโt lucky enough the score, and France won the penalty round with the result of 5:3.
Interestingly, Spain is marked as a slight favorite against France, with an odd of 2.75, while the odd on France is 3.15.

Spain was one of the favorites even before the start. That is not a surprise considering the quality and depth of their team.
They have stars in all positions. Even players on the bench are playing for top clubs.
The only part of the team that could be questionable is the attack. Their CFs were not so great. Morata scored only once in the group stage, while Joselu played only 2 games by now.
However, the midfield is one of the best in the tournament. Lamine Yamal, a young winger from Barcelona had three assists. Itโs no surprise why many people are considering him a new Messi.
On the other side, Nico Williams is also showing outstanding performances, with one goal, one assist, and a remarkable influence on the game.
One of the biggest surprises by now is Fabian Ruiz. We expected to see him play, but more to deliver passes and control the mid. Still, he got 2 goals and 2 assists, along with an amazing move in a game against Germany, which is not circulating throughout all social platforms.
The reason why players in the mid can be more relaxed is because they have Rodri, one of the best defensive midfielders today. He knows how to control the mid, break the opposing attacks, and convert the ball from mid to attackers. By now, he is showing the same level as in Manchester City. Also, letโs not forget Dani Olmo, a joker who scored twice, and added two assists.
The defensive line is stable and knows how to handle pressure. Even Cucurella, who didnโt have such a bright season at Chelsea this year, is performing great.
These are all the reasons why Spain is the main favorite at the moment. Bookies are giving 3 times the money if you bet on this team.
England
Gareth Southgate and company are facing some struggles from the start of the tournament. However, even though they lacked proper finishes, and wasted a lot of chances, they still got it to this stage.
They won against Switzerland after penalties. We noticed that many fans are not satisfied as England is the most valuable team, and surely has the most superstars.
But we all know how difficult these tournaments can be.
Maybe the next game against the Netherlands will be the one where stars like Kane, Bellingham, Saka, and Foden, will explore and show what they really can.
It seems that their formation has too many attackers, which leads to misbalance, and a lack of players in the mid, which breaks the fluidity of the game.
England is the second favorite to win the Euro 2024, and the odds on them are 3.55.
France
This team is for many the biggest surprise, a negative one though. The amazing stat is that they got it through the group stage with only one goal scored by their players, one own goal, and two penalty shootouts.
An even more amazing detail is that they won against Belgium with an own goal one more time, and then in a penalty shootout against Portugal.
That is the main reason many people think that Spain is a bigger favorite. Still, we all know the names of the French team. Things can easily change, and will a slight boost of motivation, a few changes related to strategy and formation, and French could actually beat Spain without any issues.
They have all it takes to win this tournament, starting with attackers like Mbappe, Kolo Muani, and Griezman. They are covered with Dembele and Giroud as jokers. In the mid, we can watch the amazing Kante, who never lost his ability to destroy any attempt for the opposing team to actually start a promising attack.
Next to him are young talents Camavinga and Tchounameni, both from Real Madrid.
The odds for France are 3.8. However, if they win against Spain, they will probably be the main favorite no matter whether England wins or not.
Netherlands
This team has some ups and downs in the group stage. They lost against Austria and drew with France. We also have to say that they were lucky enough to get Romania into the next stage, a game they easily won 3:0.
The game against Turkey was far more uncertain. Gako, Simons, and the rest of the team managed to win 2:1.
Even though the Dutch are marked as underdogs, letโs not forget that they also have quite a few top players on the team. First of all, Virgil van Dijk forms a strong defensive line along with de Vrij, Ake, and Dumfries.
In front of them are Schouten and Reijnders as support for Simmons, one of the best players in this team by now.
The attack is also respectable, with players like Gakpo, Bergwijn, and Depay.
The odds on them are 6. But you know how it is in football, surprises are always possible. Therefore, the Netherlands has a decent chance to win this tournament.
The Bottom Line
We will repeat what most fans think for the remaining games – the expectation to watch games with more in-game goals and more attractive moves like the one from Ruiz.
