Reconciliation between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez appears increasingly unlikely amid ongoing divorce rumors, according to a source close to the couple.
An insider reveals that although the singer remains deeply in love with her husband, she has decided to focus on a summer filled with “health, happiness, and joy” for herself and her family.
“Nothing can break her spirit,” the source says. “She wants to have a summer full of fun and laughter.”
Earlier this month, it was reported that their marriage has been “over for months,” with Lopez seemingly confirming this by posting a clip of her 2021 music video for “Cambia el Paso” on Instagram Sunday.
The empowering song includes lyrics translated from Spanish to English: “Her life is better now without him… She doesn’t need anyone to be well / She does not fail, she does not fail.”

Lopez then declares, “He doesn’t deserve to have her in his arms.”
This update comes as Lopez, 54, continues to enjoy the summer without Affleck, 51, despite both still wearing their wedding rings.
Over the July 4th weekend, she was spotted looking happy and carefree during a bike ride with her longtime friend and vocal coach, Stevie Mackey, in the Hamptons, N.Y. She was also seen shopping in Bridgehampton with her manager, Benny Medina, and out and about with her child Emme.
In June, she traveled to Italy, where she was seen lounging on a boat in a skimpy swimsuit.
Nevertheless, multiple sources indicate that Lopez, who has repeatedly called the Oscar winner the love of her life, still feels the same way.
Another source mentions that amid the rumored split, Lopez has been spending a lot of time with her twins, Emme and Max, 16.
“When they’re not at their summer activities, she’s with them,” the source says.
Meanwhile, Affleck has reportedly moved his belongings out of their Beverly Hills home and has been living in a rental in Brentwood, Calif.
He has also been spending a significant amount of time with his three kids — Violet, 18, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 12 — this summer, including over the Fourth of July weekend.
Back in February, Lopez expressed her joy about their reunion and July 2022 marriage.
“I fell in love with the love of my life [earlier in life] and for whatever reasons, we needed to grow and do other things,” she said on Australia’s “Kyle and Jackie O Radio Show.”
“We both went off and had children with other people and other relationships, but you know, in my mind, I kind of had it like, ‘Oh, that was kind of the one.’”
Lopez added that it wasn’t until she felt “good on [her] own” that the timing was right for her and Affleck.
“That’s when the universe kind of opened up to me and was like, ‘OK, now you’re ready,’” she explained. “I couldn’t believe it and I don’t think he could either. It’s not something we ever planned. We really had moved on with our lives but when we reconnected, it was almost instant and we just knew.”
Lopez shares her twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck shares his children with Jennifer Garner.
Representatives for both Affleck and Lopez were unavailable for comment.
