Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck kept their distance at his 12-year-old son Samuel’s graduation on Wednesday amid rumors of a split.
Both arrived separately for the event, with Lopez bringing her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme to support their stepbrother, while Affleck invited his mother, Chris Anne Boldt.
The “Jenny from the Block” singer, 54, seemed cheerful as she attended the graduation, sporting a genuine smile.
She wore a beige dress with a scalloped hem and two-toned pumps, her highlighted hair slicked into a low bun, accessorized with sunglasses.
Affleck, 51, looked stern in photos but was sharply dressed in a blue three-piece suit and black dress shoes.
Notably, he wore his wedding band, though it’s unclear if Lopez wore hers, as her left hand was not photographed.
In contrast, Jennifer Garner, 52, smiled widely as she arrived for her youngest child’s graduation, wearing an ankle-length blue summer dress and a brown hat.
She and Affleck also share daughters Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15, who attended the graduation.
Lopez and Affleck’s lack of interaction at Samuel’s graduation follows reports that they’ve been “living separate lives.”
“At this point, they are just doing their own thing,” an insider told Entertainment Tonight on Monday. “They went into their relationship very optimistic but things haven’t changed.”
Similarly, a source close to the Oscar winner told Page Six in May that Affleck has “come to his senses” about his marriage to the “Marry Me” star.
“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” the insider said. “He feels like the last two years were a fever dream, and he now realizes there’s no way this will work.”

The pair married in July 2022, 20 years after their first engagement.
They are now selling the home they bought in May 2023 as they reportedly work on a separation agreement.
“Ben never liked the house,” a source told People on Wednesday. “It’s too far from his kids.”
Affleck is reportedly staying in a rental home in Brentwood, California, near Garner’s residence.
He and the “Family Switch” actress were seen together Tuesday dropping Samuel off at school.
Last month, it was reported that Garner encouraged Affleck to “work on his marriage” to Lopez, wanting “nothing more than for him to be happy.”
